Interior impressions – Jeep Grand Cherokee

Jeep launched Grand Cherokee with a price starts from 77.5 lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi). We seen this vehicle in its teaser and it looks more rad than Wrangler. Now we have its locally built version in India which will reduce its price a lot, unlike its previous generation which is a CBU unit.

Interior-
Inside the Jeep Grand Cherokee we will see black and grey coloured interior layout with lots of premium touches like wooden finish. We will see some chrome inserts placed at dashboard which looks appealing for me. First of all there are three screens placed at dashboard which resembles Mercedes’s EQS.

First screen is a 10.1 inch touchscreen infotainment system which has all new age tech and connectivity and all that stuff. We are expecting high resolution and graphics in this three screens. Jeep really worked hard in its design layout. Second screen is also 10.1 inch but it’s not for instrument cluster, we will find this screen at dashboard (above the glove box). This screen is for co-passenger, he/she can control some media settings like voice commands, radio, navigation and sound system also.

This is a nice concept where co-driver can handle the screen by using its own screen. There is also rear view monitor which will display the view on IRVM, which we seen in Defender. Considering the safety, I liked this particular feature because sometimes the IRVM can’t able to show exact view of rear portion of the vehicle and this Grand Cherokee has already big dimensions. In terms of features and tech Jeep is offering us tons of new tech in this hardcore suv like a 10.25-inch fully digital instrument cluster, a 10-inch head-up display, a wireless charging pad, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, rear seat entertainment screens, panoramic sunroof, leather upholstery, ventilated front seats and a powered tailgate.

Prices of new Grand Cherokee starts from 77.5 lakhs and compete against Volvo XC90, Mercedes Benz GLE, Range Rover Velar, Audi Q7 and BMW X5. The Grand Cherokee is hard core off-roader as well where we can see lots of terrain modes and off-road tech as well.
