Hyundai Alcazar, Grown Up Creta
The most awaited launch in this 2021 is here, yes Hyundai Alcazar launched in India . Looking to the design , in Alcazar we got 6 and 7 seats options with 3 rows and lots of new features.
In Alcazar there are 18 variants , prestige , signature and platinum, with we get 2 engine options .
1) 2.0 litre petrol AT/MT
2) 2.0 litre diesel AT/MT
Today we are reviewing the signature(O) 1.5 diesel automatic variants which produces 113 bhp of power with @4000RPM and 250 NM of torque with @1500RPM , this 1.5 diesel is mated with 6 speed torque converter .
Alcazar comes with 50 litres of fuel tank capacity and also get 18.1 KMPL claimed fuel economy , with an all three rows up we get 180 litres of
boot space but if you have more then we can split the third row in 50:50 format . Looking to its dimensions this alcazar is increased by 200 mm , height is also increased by 40 mm . The fact is it’s width is same as like Creta and wheelbase is increased by 150 mm , ground clearance is increased by 10 mm .
But after this it’s length, width and height are following respectively , 4500 mm , 1790 mm , 1675 mm . At front we get chrome grill with
front parking camera and parking sensors , headlamps unit doesn’t changed like Creta we get the square shaped led headlamps and led drl’s with
led fog lamps . Alcazar runs on 18 inch dual tone alloy wheel with side food steps , ORVM comes with camera and logo projector which projects logo through orvm , there is
also keyless entry and get button on driver side handle , to get the floating roof appeal we get blacked finish on A B and C pillars .
At rear we get led tail lamps but don’t get led indicators and reverse lamps , in higher variants there is also dual exhaust with chrome finish .
On rear windscreen there is also wiper washer with defogger and a high mounted stop lamp , in middle we get alcazar written in chrome finish with the Hyundai logo and rear parking camera with parking sensors . Sometimes that taillights will remember you Ford Endeavour and Tata Hexa ,
in inside we get dual tone colour options with a large panoramic sunroof , dashboard comes from creta with that 10.25 inch touchscreen infotainment system with all that car plays .
In that infotainment system we get maps, radio, navigation, media and many more. Below the infotainment screen we get climate control switches with wireless charging pad
and USN-c type with 12 V charging port . Centre console is also same as the Creta , it gets the Audi style gear liver with electric parking brake
and drive modes ( Eco , sport , comfort ) , terrain modes ( snow , sand , sand ) . There are also seat ventilation controls and DRVM switch with two cup holders . Below the centre armrest we get some space with air purifier .
The flat bottom steering comes with volume control , paddle shifters , cruise control and switches to operate that 10.5 inch digital instrument cluster .
That digital instrument cluster shows tyres pressure , vehicle information , fuel economy, compass and more . We can also change the theme of that cluster with the touch of our finger . So in 2nd row we get two captain seats
with retractable table and cup holders with tablet holders on it . In the rear armrest there is centre armrest and a wireless charging pad also
with two cup holders , second row gets good amount of headroom and knee room. In this suv if you have seven seats options then you don’t get that rear armrest either you get one more seat .
There is also AC vents with window sunshades . Third row gets ample space with fan controls ,
with second row up this third row is suitable for children’s and also for adults for short journeys. In Alcazar we get long list of features and tech
like 8 speakers boss sound system with amplifier and subwoofer (1st in the segment), 64 colours ambient lighting (1st in the segment),
front ventilated seats (1st in the segment), rear sunshades (1st in the segment), two wireless
charging pad (1st in the segment), second row headrest cushion (1st in the segment), automatic climate control,
puddle lamp (1st in the segment), digital instrument cluster (1st in the segment), air purifier (1st in the segment ),
8 ways electrically adjustable driver seat , keyless entry, shark fin antenna, automatic headlamps, adjustable steering wheel,
engine start stop button, auto dimming irvm, cooled glove box and more. We know that this Hyundai’s suv didn’t get behind in connectivity, typically we get Hyundai’s blue link which is connected service by Hyundai in this blue link there are 60+ connected features like remote engine start stop function , remote door lock and unlock , remote climate on and off ,
tyre pressure information , geo fencing , driving information , service information , vehicle tracking and also voice command like if you say I want to see the sky , it opens the sunroof . In safety we get lots of features, like 6 airbags,
ABS with EBD, ESP, traction control, Hill hold control, surround view monitor
with front and rear parking sensors, TPMS, blind spot monitoring system (1st in the segment) when you
on the indicators that shows your blind spot in instrument cluster . In Alcazar we get 6 colours options with 2 dual tone colours.

After this, the important criteria is pricing, this suv costs 16.30 lakhs to 20.14 lakhs (ex-showroom) . In this price range alcazar rival to Tata safari , MG Hector , mahindra xuv500 , Tata harrier , Toyota Innova , Hyundai creta , Kia seltos, Mahindra Scorpio .
But at this price alcazar missed some features like , electric tailgate opening and closing , led turn indicators , projector headlamps , electric seats adjust on co-driver side . But overall this is good packaged with lots of features and also costs well, so if you have 7 seater suv or bigger Creta then this is right choice for you.
