Kia has unveiled the refreshed EV6, showcasing several updates to its design and features. Notably, the front-end design of Kia EV6 has undergone significant changes. Gone are the traditional headlamps, replaced instead by angular LED daytime running lamps, a design cue shared with other Kia electric vehicles like the EV9 and EV3. The front bumper and lower grill have also received a makeover, contributing to a more aggressive and futuristic appearance.
2024 Kia EV6 Interior –
Moving to the interior, the updated EV6 features a curved panoramic screen where both the digital instrument cluster and infotainment display are housed. Additionally, the two-spoke steering wheel now integrates a fingerprint reader, allowing registered drivers to start the car without needing a physical key. Another notable feature is the availability of over-the-air updates for various functions, including key electronic controls.

Furthermore, the facelifted EV6 introduces a digital rear-view mirror and an enhanced head-up display. These additions are complemented by an AI-based navigation system, a technology also found in newer Genesis models. Utilizing the front camera, this navigation setup incorporates graphic overlays to provide users with an intuitive and seamless driving experience.
2024 Kia EV6 Battery Pack –
Shifting focus to the mechanical updates, the Kia EV6 facelift introduces a new battery configuration. It adopts Hyundai’s latest 84 kWh battery, replacing the previous 77.4 kWh pack. As a result, the EV6 facelift RWD variant equipped with 19-inch wheels now which provides an extended range of around 494km, compared to the earlier 475km.
This range estimation provided by Kia is based on testing conducted in the Korean market. In terms of powertrain, the EV6 RWD lineup features a motor delivering 225hp and 350Nm of torque, while the dual-motor variants offer a higher output of 320hp and 605Nm. Additionally, the new battery supports rapid 350kW DC charging, enabling a charging time from 10 percent to 80 percent in just 18 minutes.
2024 Kia EV6 India Launch Update –
kia motors India is scheduled to launch the updated EV6 in country in 2025. Automaker is going to launch Carens Facelift and EV9 suv’s this year. Kia EV6 will be compete with Hyundai Ioniq 5, Volvo XC40 recharge, BYD seal, Volvo C40 Recharge once launched in India.
