As the launch date for the new Thar five-door approaches, more details about the SUV have surfaced. This time, a Mahindra Thar Armada 5 Door was seen alongside other Mahindra test cars. The latest spy images of the 2024 Mahindra Thar 5 Door suggest that the model might come equipped with a dual-pane sunroof upon launch.
Although the camouflage obscures most of the details, but the roof of the test mule clearly showcased the dual pane sunroof which was beneath the camouflage. We are expecting panoramic sunroof in higher trims of Mahindra Thar 5 Door, earlier sightings showed the model with a single-pane sunroof, which is now likely to be offered with the mid-spec trims.
Powertrain Options In Thar 5 Door –
Although Mahindra has not yet officially disclosed the technical specifications of the upcoming Thar five-door, it is expected to retain the powertrains from the three-door version. This means the SUV will likely feature the same 2.0-litre mStallion turbo-petrol and 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engines, both available with six-speed manual and automatic gearbox options. Moreover, it is anticipated that the powerful performance and off-road capabilities that the Thar is known for will be carried over to the five-door model, ensuring it appeals to adventure enthusiasts and daily drivers alike.
