Skoda India has commenced testing the fourth-generation Kodiaq in India, as revealed by recent spy shots of an uncamouflaged test model painted in white. The new-generation Skoda Kodiaq is anticipated to make its debut in India towards the end of the year. Compared to its predecessor, the new Kodiaq looks bigger and has some redesigned elements like a Skoda’s famous hexagonal grille, sharp bonet line which retains the OG Kodiaq design language.
Skoda Kodiaq Design Changes –
We also noticed squared-off wheel arches which contributes in the hardcore suv look of the Kodiaq. Additionally, it showcases new alloy wheels and redesigned headlamps. At the rear, the SUV has C-shaped wraparound tail-lamps with Skoda lettering positioned centrally. Notably, the fourth generation Skoda Kodiaq will also incorporate ADAS, thanks to the presence of a radar at the front.
New Skoda Kodiaq Interior –
Inside, the new Skoda Kodiaq we will notice a dual-tone brown and black theme, all leather material, premium finished materials, a two-spoke steering wheel, and more. Other notable elements include a 10-inch fully digital instrument cluster, a 13-inch touchscreen infotainment system, auto-dimming IRVM, and an ADAS suite.
New Skoda Kodiaq Engine Options & Rivals in India –
Under the hood, the new-gen Kodiaq is expected to retain the 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine from the previous model, producing 190hp and 320Nm of torque. The engine will be paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox, delivering power to all four wheels. Current model of Skoda Kodiaq is priced at Rs 39.99 lakhs (Ex-showroom), we are expecting a major price hike in the updated Kodiaq. Well, this full sized suv will rival with Toyota Fortuner, MG Gloster, BMW X1, Jeep Meridian.
