The Citroen C3 Basalt coupe SUV has been officially unveiled in its production form ahead of its debut on 2 August. This marks Citroen’s fourth model for India under the C-Cube program. The production-ready Basalt features a distinctive sloping roofline, alloy wheels, a rear spoiler, conventional door handles, LED DRLs, and projector headlamps. 

The Citroen Basalt will come equipped with a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a digital instrument cluster, and an automatic climate control system. However, it lacks some features like a panoramic sunroof, ventilated seats, a 360-degree parking camera, and Level 2 ADAS, which are all available in the Tata Curvv.

This coupe SUV will be powered by a 1.2-litre petrol engine, the same one found in the C3, producing 109bhp and 205Nm of torque. While the transmission options haven’t been disclosed yet, it’s anticipated to offer a 6-speed manual or a torque converter gearbox. Once launched, the Citroen C3 Basalt will compete with the Tata Curvv, Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Honda Elevate, and Maruti Grand Vitara.
