BMW has introduced the all-new i5 in India, offering the range-topping M60 xDrive variant. Priced at Rs. 1,19,50,000 (ex-showroom), the BMW i5 is available as a CBU import. Conventional petrol and diesel variants of the latest 5 Series will be arriving in India shortly.
The BMW i5 M60 xDrive is available in eight different colour options, along with four exclusive BMW Individual paint choices. The standard interior trim features carbon fiber accents, while the seating can be customised with Alcantara, Veganza, or Merino leather upholstery as additional upgrades.
The BMW i5, built on the CLAR platform, showcases a refreshed design language with an illuminated front kidney grille and adaptive LED headlamps. It rolls on stylish 20-inch high-gloss black M light alloy wheels, which complement the M60’s sporty trim that includes the M Sport Pro package. This package features larger front air intakes, flared side skirts, rear diffusers, red brake callipers, and high-gloss accents throughout.
Interior of new BMW i5 –
Inside the i5, the new BMW cockpit layout features a curved display with the latest OS 8.5 operating system as standard. The interior has carbon fiber trims, a full-size glass roof, an 18-speaker 655W Bowers and Wilkins surround sound system, and a M-specific leather-wrapped steering wheel. Other highlights include ventilated seats and in-car gaming via the AirConsole platform. In terms of functionality, the vehicle is equipped with a heads-up display, augmented reality integration in the MID, ADAS features, adaptive suspension, electronically controlled shock absorbers, integral active steering, and six airbags.
Battery Pack Of BMW i5 –
The BMW i5 features an 81.2kWh battery pack combined with a twin motor setup for an all-wheel drive configuration. This setup delivers an impressive combined output of 600bhp and 795Nm of torque. Acceleration from 0-100kmph is accomplished in just 3.8 seconds, with the top speed electronically capped at 230kmph. In terms of range, the i5 is capable of traveling up to 516km on a single charge, making it a highly efficient and performance-oriented electric vehicle.
