Mercedes-Benz has officially launched the EQA in India, marking it as their most affordable electric SUV with a starting price of Rs. 66 lakh (ex-showroom). This electrified version of the GLA is available in a single fully loaded variant named EQA 250+. In terms of design, the Mercedes EQA resembles with GLA but automaker has added some new elements such as LED light bars both at the front and rear, a newly designed grille adorned with the distinctive three-pointed star pattern, 19-inch alloy wheels, and wraparound LED taillights.
Mercedes EQA Interior –
Inside, the EQA offers Cupertino leatherette upholstery as standard. Additionally, it comes with a touch-capacitive three-spoke steering wheel, dual-zone climate control, a digital driver’s display, heads-up display, and augmented reality navigation. The 10.25-inch touchscreen is equipped with Mercedes’ latest operating system, and the SUV also features a 360-degree camera and a 710W 12-speaker Burmester sound system with Dolby Atmos. For safety, the EQA includes seven airbags, blind spot monitoring, and advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) like active brake assist.
Mercedes Benz EQA Battery Pack and Range –
In India, the EQA is powered by a 70.5kWh battery pack, driving a front-mounted electric motor that produces 190hp and 385Nm of peak torque. Impressively, the EQA can accelerate from 0-100kph in just 8.6 seconds and has a top speed of 160kph. Moreover, the EQA offers a WLTP-certified range of up to 560km on a single charge, making it a compelling option for those seeking a long-range electric SUV.
