The all-new third-generation Porsche Panamera is now launched in India with a price tag of Rs 1.7 crore, with deliveries commencing today. As previously reported, the Panamera will be equipped with a 2.9-litre turbocharged V6 petrol engine producing 353hp and 500Nm of torque. The engine is paired with an 8-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, sending power to the rear wheels. This combination allows the Panamera to accelerate from 0-100kph in just 5.1 seconds and achieve a top speed of 272kph.
The new Porsche Panamera equipped with adaptive air suspension, known as Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM), as standard equipment, enhancing the vehicle’s comfort and handling dynamics. This advanced suspension system ensures a smooth ride and optimal performance in various driving conditions. With its refined powertrain and advanced features, the new Panamera offers a thrilling driving experience for luxury car enthusiasts.
The Panamera’s standard equipment includes a range of advanced features designed to enhance both comfort and safety. These include matrix LED headlights for improved visibility, parking assistance for easier maneuvering, and a driving mode selector on the steering wheel for a personalized driving experience. Inside, a full-HD 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a cooled smartphone compartment with wireless charging add convenience. The 8-way adjustable electric seats provide comfort, while six airbags ensure the safety of occupants.
In terms of competition, the Panamera V6 does not currently face a direct rival in the Indian market. However, when Porsche introduces the V8 variants of the Panamera, they will compete with luxury models such as the Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S E Performance 4-door Coupe, priced at Rs 3.3 crore. Despite the arrival of various Panamera models, hybrid versions will not be making their way to India.
