The Audi RS Q8 now has a new top-tier Performance variant, making it the brand’s most powerful internal combustion engine car. This performance variant of RS Q8 now gets an additional 40hp of power and 50Nm of torque, which makes this suv 0.2 seconds faster goes 0 to 100 KMPH in just 3.6 seconds. Impressively, the new RS Q8 Performance has earned the title of the fastest SUV on the Nürburgring’s Nordschleife. Racing and development driver Frank Stippler completed the 20.832 kilometer track in just 7:36.698 minutes. Audi has introduced RS Q8 Performance variant at 151,700 Euros (Rs 1.39 Cr). India launch of this newly introduced performance variant of RS Q8 is not yet officially confirmed.
Audi RS Q8 Design Highlights –
Visually, the RS Q8 Performance and RS Q8 are almost identical, standing out from the standard Q8 with their huge bodies, a new honeycomb grille, and slightly redesigned front and rear sections. Both models feature matrix LED headlights and customizable OLED rear lights. Additional distinctions include a large rear diffuser, striking oval tailpipes, new matte gold 22-inch alloy wheels, and RS badging, setting them apart in the lineup.
Audi RS Q8 Powertrain –
The Q8 RS is equipped with 4.0 litre V8 petrol engine produces 600 bhp of power and 800 Nm of torque. The top speed of this RS Q8 is 250 KMPH and goes 0 to 100 KMPH in just 3.8 seconds. Now, the performance variant of RS Q8 comes with an increased output of 640 bhp (+40hp) and 850 Nm of torque (+50NM) which makes this suv most powerful RS Q8 ever made. Thanks to the increased power output, the RS Q8 Performance now goes 0 to 100 KMPH in just 3.6 seconds.
This sport coupe car also gets new lighter exhaust system which helps to create more sportier sound. Audi RS Q8 also gets air suspension which is tuned for a special RS trim and comes as a standard feature in all variants of RS Q8. The top model of the Q8 series combines a passion for performance, prestige, and suitability for everyday use to create an exhilarating experience,” says Rolf Michl, Managing Director of Audi Sport GmbH.
Audi RS Q8 Interior and Features –
Inside the cabin, Audi has enhanced the 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster with a gear-change indicator for optimal shifts in manual mode. The main interior features are controlled by the same split infotainment system with a 10.1-inch screen and an 8.6-inch climate control screen as found in the Q8. Additionally, the RS Q8 Performance now offers numerous optional accessories, including matrix laser digital lights, new 23-inch alloy wheels, red brake calipers with RS badging, RS ceramic brakes, special interior color packages, and puddle lamps that display ‘RS performance.’
