BMW 5 series, 530i M sport
After 6 series BMW recently launched its LCI (facelift) of 5 series. This is a seventh generation of 5 series, in this LCI we get some cosmetic changes with new headlights and taillights and with new features.
In 5 series we get 3 variants- 530i M sport, 520d luxury line, 530d M sport, with also 3 engine options, 1) 2.0 litre petrol engine produces 248 bhp of power with @5200 RPM and 350 NM of torque with @1450 RPM.
2) 2.0 litre diesel engine produces 188 bhp of power with @4000 RPM and 400 NM of torque with @1750 RPM . 3) 3.0 litre 6 cylinder diesel engine that produces 261 bhp of power with @4000 RPM and 620 NM of torque with @2000 RPM. All engines are mated with 8 speed torque converter.
Today we are reviewing the 530i M sport variant with 2.0 litre petrol engine , this engine gives us 14.82 kmpl claimed fuel economy.
At front we get chrome kidney grill with front parking camera and sensors, sometimes that headlights remember you 6 series, we get BMW laser lights with dual L shape
led drls and turn indicators , BMW claimed that at high beam this laser lights can illuminate the lights up to 650 m . In exterior we get lot’s of chrome treatment and for aerodynamic efficiency that kidney grill opens , there are also air vents on bumper and on doors .
This 5 series runs on 18 inch M alloys with M brake calipers there is also puddles lamps coming from handle , on orvm we get parking camera. At rear we get L shaped led taillights and led indicators , below the taillights
we get parking camera and parking sensors. There is also trapezoidal exhaust at rear , the length width and height of 5 series are following
respectively – 4963 mm, 1868 mm, 1467 mm. This sedan comes with massive 530 litres of boot space and a space saver steel spare wheel. Inside the 5 series we get dual tone interior
with lots of advanced tech, on dashboard there is 10.5 inch touchscreen infotainment system now with android auto and apple car play , in this infotainment we get vehicle
information , driving status , navigation , radio , ambient lighting and many more . Below the infotainment we get air conditioning controls with AC vents and the wireless charging pad and usb port also 12v charging port .
We get typical BMW style center console with lots of a switches in it , in centre console there is sporty gear liver with electronic parking brake and I drive controller which controls the infotainment system with the touch of our finger . There are also camera , parking sensors , drive modes , traction control switches on it . Below the center armrest we get some litres of space and USB-c type charging port , steering wheel gets mounted controls and paddle shifters to change the gear manually .
That mounted controls operate the 10.5 inch digital instrument cluster , in this digital cluster we get driving data, navigation, radio controls and also we can change the theme of that cluster. At rear we gets
ample amount of legroom and lumbar support , if you are near 6ft then you should have some trouble in the headroom . At the back seat we gets centre armrest with twin bottle holder, rear sunshades, led reading lights,
rear seat magazine holder and also separate air conditioning controls .The list of features that we get in this sedan are very long , like 600-watt 16 speakers
Harmon Kardon surround sound system which spreads sounds equally in all cabin, automatic headlamps and automatic wipers, driving modes ( Comfort, Eco pro, sport and dynamic ), electrical sunroof,
ambient lighting, 16 ways electrically adjustable driver and co-driver seats with memory seat function and additional under thighs support, electrically adjustable rear windscreen sunshades, puddle lamps,
electronic tailgate opening and closing with gesture control , electrically adjustable steering wheel, gesture control, voice commands,
4 zone climate control and many more. In safety there are also to many features like 7 airbags, ABS with EBD,
traction control , brake assist, ESP, hill hold control, tyre pressure monitoring system, 360degree parking camera and parking sensors,
auto dimming IRVM, isofix child seat anchor point and many more . Apart from this we get many advanced tech in safety like Park assistant with
surround view monitor which parks the vehicle at no time automatically and now we don’t get to change the gear BMW automatically changes the gears, BMW digital display key
with we can park the vehicle when we out of the car and many more. In 5 series we get 5 colour options, and also we can change the interior themes and fabric of seats .

The price of 5 series start’s from 62.90 l to 71.90 l (ex-showroom) . This 5 series rival to BMW 6 series , Mercedes Benz E class , BMW 3 series gran limousine, Audi A6, bmw 3 series , Mercedes Benz C class , range rover velar .
At this high price 5 series missed some features in it like ventilated seats, massage function , electrically adjustable rear window sunshades , soft closing doors function , full sized spare wheel. But after all this, the BMW 5 series is feature loaded sedan with a great driving performance also .
