BMW 6 series GT, well done BMW.
In India BMW recently launched the facelifted 6 series gran tourismo, in this facelift we got new features with some cosmetic changes . This is the fourth generation of 6 series, looking at the design this seems like
coupe but this is a sedan . In 6 series we get 3 variants – 630i M sport , 620d luxury line , 630d M sport . In the 630i M sport we get 2.0 litre petrol engine with 255 bhp of power and 400 NM of torque , in 620d luxury line there are 2.0 litre Diesel engine with 188 bhp of power and 400 NM of torque .
The last and the best is that 630d M sport , in this engine options we gets the 3.0 litre 6 cylinder motor produces 261 bhp of power with @4000 RPM and massive 620 NM of torque with @2000 RPM , 8 speed torque converter standard in across all variant . Today we are reviewing the 630d M sport variants, in this variant we get impressively
17.09 claimed fuel economy but this is depend upon your driving style , but to increase fuel efficiency there is also auto start stop function . At front we get typical BMW style chrome kidney grill with front parking camera and parking sensors and my favourite
thing is in 6 is that BMW’s laserlights with dual L shape led drl’s which turns indicators , BMW claimed that at high beam laser lights can throw the lights up to 650 m ,
that’s why we don’t get fog lamps at front . Rear gets the L shape led taillights with rear parking camera
and parking sensors above the taillights we get the rear spoiler which automatically extends at a speed of over 110 km/h and retracts once the speed returns to 70 km/h in order to
improve stability, the best attraction is that dual trapezoidal exhaust pipe with chrome finish on it . There are some attention to detail things on exterior like 19 inch V shape alloy wheel , blue colour brake
callipers with M written on it, camera on both the ORVM, frame less doors looks awesome. Coming to the dimensions length width and height are following respectively – 5091 mm , 1902 mm , 1538 mm . 6 gets 138 mm of ground clearance, but on bad terrain
we can increase the ground clearance by 20 mm and decrease by 10 mm , the sedan comes with 600 litres of boot space which can
be extended more by folding he rear seats in 40:20:40 format , inside the 6 we get wooden finish
with dual tone colour treatment, looking to dashboard there is a 12.3 inch touchscreen infotainment system
with wireless android auto and apple car play , below the infotainment system we get four zone climate control with wireless charging pad and 12V
charging socket with twin bottles holders . At centre console there are lots of switches,
we get typical BMW style gear liver with all that P-R-N-D stuff, there is also electric parking brake with auto hold function , i-drive controller operates the infotainment screen , button to open or close the rear spoiler , button to increase or decrease ride height , parking sensors button , camera button
and all the driving modes ( eco pro, comfort, sport and adaptive ). Below the front centre armrest there are usb-c type ports with some litres of space . The steering wheels gets mounted control with paddles to shift the gears. Above the steering wheel there is BMW’s 12.3 inch digital virtual
cockpit which shows all the information about vehicle and also shows navigation in it . At rear we get comfortable seats with the pillows and also a
centre armrest with bottles holders and space for tablets also . We get ample amount of under thighs support with good headroom and legroom which can makes your longer rides comfortable.
There are some party trick like we can recline the rear seats by 9 degrees, behind the front seats we get 10.25 inch touchscreen
infotainment system, there are also electrically adjustable both sun blinds, we gets also reading
lights and the massive sized panoramic sunroof . In this 6 there are lots of features and new tech like 11 colours ambient lighting , gesture control in infotainment system , auto dimming
IRVM , electronic boot opening and closing with gesture control , 21 ways electrically adjustable driver and co-driver seats with additional under thighs support and memory seats
function, automatic headlamps and automatic wipers , dynamic puddle lamp , 464 watts 16 speakers Harmon Kardon surround system
with subwoofer and amplifier, BMW’s display key which shows various information about
vehicle and we can also park’s the vehicle through touch of our finger, wireless charging pad, keyless entry, adaptive 2 axle air suspension,
electrically adjustable rear sunshades, soft close door function in all doors . In 6 , to increase the aerodynamic efficiency bmw gives us
electrically adjustable rear spoiler, front kidney grill opens to take air in it and lots of air vents . In safety 6 gets 6 airbags , TPMS , isofix child seat anchor point , seat belt warning , ABS with EBD ,
brake assist , ESP , hill hold control , traction control , speed sensing auto door lock and unlock , 360 degree parking camera with front and rear parking sensors and park assist,
all wheel disc brakes , dynamic stability control . In this sedan we gets 7 colours, but every variants gets it’s different colours.

This BMW costs from 67.90 lakhs to 77.90 lakhs ( ex-showroom ), at this price range GT rival to many luxurious sedan and premium suv’s
like Mercedes Benz E class , bmw 5 series , Audi A6 , BMW X5 , Land Rover velar , bmw x4 , jaguar f-pace , Audi S5 sportback . But after all this we can definitely say that well done BMW !!
