The newly revealed BMW M3 follows the recent launch of the M4 in India, and it is anticipated to arrive in the Indian market soon. This updated M3 is now available exclusively in the Competition variant, featuring cutting-edge technology and design enhancements. The updated M3 is set to enter series production in July, with further details on its India launch expected later this year. While previous M3 generations were sold in India, the current generation has not yet been available in the country.
2024 BMW M3, Powertrain Spec’s –
Under the hood, it retains the familiar twin-turbocharged 3.0-litre straight-six engine. However, an ECU remap boosts its power by 20hp, bringing it to 530hp and 650Nm of torque. The M3 can now accelerate from 0 to 100kph in just 3.5 seconds, 0.4 seconds faster than before, with a top speed limited to 250kph. For those seeking more speed, the optional M Driver’s package increases the top speed to 290kph for the sedan or 280kph for the M3 Touring estate.
2024 BMW M3 Exterior and Interior Highlights –
On the exterior, the updated BMW M3 sports subtle styling tweaks, including new arrow-shaped LED daytime running lights, refreshed alloy wheel designs, and new color options for its 19-inch front and 20-inch rear wheels. The M3 badging has also been redesigned. Inside, the changes are more significant.
The latest iDrive infotainment system from the updated 3 Series is now included, featuring a 14.9-inch curved infotainment display alongside a 12.3-inch instrumentation display with M-specific graphics. Additionally, there is a new flat-bottomed steering wheel from the 5 Series and 7 Series, available in both leather and Alcantara for the first time, and standard new aluminum trim pieces.
