After undergoing testing for nearly four years, Force Motors is gearing up to unveil the long-awaited five-door variant of its Gurkha lifestyle SUV next month. In terms of design, expectations are high for the new Force Gurkha, with features such as a blacked-out grille bearing the Gurkha insignia in chrome, along with blacked-out front and rear bumpers, fog lights, and dual five-spoke alloy wheels. Additionally, it is anticipated to include practical elements like a roof rack, snorkel, robust squared wheel arches, a rear door-mounted spare tire and ladder, tow hook, and vertically stacked taillights.
In terms of its interior features, the 2024 Gurkha five-door is anticipated to be equipped with a touchscreen infotainment system, circular AC vents, a three-spoke steering wheel, analogue instrument console, and leatherette upholstery. Currently, the Force Gurkha, available in its three-door variant, is powered by a 2.2-litre diesel engine that generates 90bhp and 250Nm of torque, paired exclusively with a five-speed manual transmission. It is expected that the five-door version will retain the same engine, albeit with a higher state of tune. Once it hits the market, the five-door Gurkha will compete directly with the recently launched five-door Mahindra Thar.
