Force Motors has introduced the 2024 Gurkha range in India with competitive pricing, starting at Rs. 16.75 lakh (ex-showroom) for the three-door model and Rs. 18 lakh for the five-door model. The company has opened bookings for the vehicle today with a booking amount of Rs. 25,000.
The 2024 Gurkha is equipped with a robust 2.6-litre diesel engine, capable of generating 132bhp and 320Nm of torque, paired with a six-speed manual transmission. One of the standout features of the Gurkha is its four-wheel drive system, complete with locking differentials and shift-on-the-fly 4WD, which comes as standard on both three-door and five-door variants.
The Gurkha targets the off-road enthusiast market and is positioned as a competitor to the Maruti Jimny and the lower-spec variants of the Mahindra Thar. The Thar will soon see the addition of a five-door model in August, creating further competition in this niche segment.
