Kia has delivered 200 units of EV6 in India which is launched last year. Kia brought this EV as a CBU unit in India and still this vehicle has a lot of demand. Within a year Kia achieved a great milestone. Kia Launched this EV6 with a price range of 59.95L to 64.95L (ex-showroom Delhi), this is a lot of money and because it’s a CBU unit we have to pay extra taxes. Still consumers are going to buy EV6, looking the demand of vehicle in India company is planning to take more units of EV6. The EV6 for India is available only with the 77.4kWh battery pack. In the single-motor, rear-wheel drive guise, it makes 229hp and 350Nm, while in the all-wheel drive, dual-motor guise, it makes 325hp and 605Nm.
The EV6 has an ARAI-claimed range of up to 708km and it is compatible with 350kW DC fast chargers. Kia has only one electric vehicle available in India which is the EV6, company is working on mass market for electric vehicles which will available till 2025. Kia also worked on charging infrastructure in which they installed 150Kw at Gurugram and 240kW at Kochi’s dealership. The EV6 is based on the Hyundai Group’s e-GMP platform that also underpins the upcoming Hyundai Ioniq 5 crossover, its future rival. In our market, the EV6 currently takes on the likes of the Volvo XC40 recharge.
