Hyundai India has introduced the Exter CNG Duo, following Tata Motors’ innovative twin CNG cylinder technology. Priced starting at Rs. 8.5 lakh (ex-showroom), the Exter CNG twin cylinder is offered in three variants: S, SX, and the new SX Knight Edition. It continues to be powered by a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine paired with a five-speed manual gearbox. However, unlike the single CNG cylinder setup, the new Exter CNG features twin CNG tanks with an integrated ECU for smooth switching between fuel options. This setup allows the Exter to achieve a claimed fuel efficiency of 27.1 km/kg, with a CNG capacity of 60 litres.
