Hyundai’s new entry level electric car is here, automaker has officially revealed Inster EV in global market. Hyundai Inster EV is a Casper based EV which is a currently selling in Korea and due to its compact size, it is known as a fun to drive sub-compact suv. This car will be launched in Korean market first and Hyundai will bring Inster EV in other countries later. Right now Hyundai is gearing up the launch of Creta EV in India, and likely to reveal mid sized EV soon.
Inster EV Design Highlights –
Talking about the dimensions, Hyundai Inster EV is 3,825 mm long, 1,610 mm wide, 1,575 mm tall and has wheelbase of 2,580 mm. The car is practical enough to occupy 4 adults and has ample amount space for luggage. Carmaker has designed this car with plenty amount of space in-terms of legroom and headroom, thanks to the 2,580 mm wheelbase. The car runs on 17 inch alloy wheels, but maybe we will not see these tyre sizes in India.
Inster got typical circular led headlights which we have seen in Casper, led daytime running lights are positioned above the headlamps and got pixel themed indicators also. It has a big black grill which got front parking camera, ADAS sensor, front parking sensors. Customers have an option to select various exterior colour themes like 9 paint scheme and more.
The side profile has squared wheel arches, pillar mounted rear door handle, functional roof rails which gives it a SUV look. Tailgate of the Inster carries pixel theme taillights with an attached roof spoiler and high mounted stop lamp. Furthermore, bumper of car boasts circular lights and parking lamps.
Inster EV Interior and Features –
Inside, the Inster EV has a clean and modern dashboard design with a utilitarian approach. Among its standout features are a large 10.25-inch infotainment screen and a matching 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster. Additionally, it includes auto climate control, a wireless charger, and a multifunctional steering wheel with a drive mode selector mounted on the steering column. Other notable features are ventilated front seats, a 360-degree surround camera, ambient lighting, a blind spot monitor, a sunroof, and an advanced ADAS suite.
Inster EV Battery Specs and Range –
Moving to the powertrain and specifications, the Inster will come with two battery options: a 42kWh unit and a 49kWh unit, with the latter designated for the long-range model. Both versions will feature a single motor setup, producing 95bhp for the standard model and 113bhp for the long-range version, with 147Nm of torque across both. The vehicle boasts a maximum driving range of up to 355km on a single charge. Impressively, the Inster can charge from 10 to 80 percent in under 30 minutes using a 120kW DC fast charger.
