Hyundai India has delisted all-electric Kona SUV from their website, suggesting it may be discontinued in the country. The Hyundai Kona Electric, introduced in 2019 as India’s first electric SUV, had a last-recorded ex-showroom price of Rs. 23.84 lakh.To boost sales, the company has frequently offered substantial discounts, sometimes up to Rs. 1.5 lakh.
The Hyundai Kona Electric came equipped with a 39.2kWh battery pack paired with a single motor, delivering 134bhp and 395Nm of torque. In terms of driving range, Hyundai claimed that the SUV could cover up to 452km on a fully charged battery. This impressive range was one of the key selling points of the Hyundai Kona Electric, making it a notable option for those considering an electric vehicle. However, despite these features, the lack of updates since its launch likely affected its appeal in the competitive market.
