Jeep Grand Cherokee launched in India, Price starts from 77.5 Lakhs

After lots of teasers and spy shots Jeep finally raised the curtains of Grand Cherokee. Jeep India revealed Grand Cherokee with starting price of 77.5 lakhs (Ex-showroom Delhi). This is introductory amount for Grand Cherokee and bookings are already commenced. Now company is manufacturing this vehicle in India, unlike previous gen of Grand Cherokee which is import version.

2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee Prices and Rivals –
Prices of new Grand Cherokee starts from 77.5 lakhs and compete against Volvo XC90, Mercedes Benz GLE, Range Rover Velar, Audi Q7 and BMW X5. The Grand Cherokee is hard core off-roader as well where we can see lots of terrain modes and off-road tech as well.

Design-
Starting from the front we got a typical Jeep style fascia with 7 slat grill and sleek led headlamps and drls as well, it has squared wheel arches with massive alloys. The boxy shape line of the vehicle makes it more off-road capable and looks humongous also. At the rear we will see led taillights with chunky bumper and some chrome treatment. The vehicle has huge dimensions makes this vehicle more attractive and gets strong body appeal.

Powertrain-
Unlike the previous-gen Grand Cherokee that was offered with both petrol and diesel engine options, the new model only gets a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine option. This unit produces 272hp of power and 400Nm of peak torque, and comes paired to an 8-speed automatic gearbox as standard, sending drive to all four wheels via a four-wheel drive system. The new Grand also gets selectable terrain modes – Auto, Sport, Mud/Sand and Snow.

Interior-
Inside this Jeep we will see three screens like the new Mercedes Benz EQS, we have a 10.1 inch touchscreen infotainment system with tons of tech and assistance system fitted in that screen, another one is also 10.1 inch infotainment system placed in dashboard (above the glove box). There is one more screen at Instrument cluster. Big width of vehicle makes this Grand Cherokee comfy and spacious suv. The dashboard gets layered effects and wood treatment as well, this looks stunning and gets premium touch.

Features-
In terms of features, the flagship SUV comes equipped with a configurable 10.25-inch fully digital instrument cluster, a 10-inch head-up display, a wireless charging pad, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, rear seat entertainment screens, panoramic sunroof, leather upholstery, ventilated front seats and a powered tailgate.
