The latest sighting of the fourth-generation Kia Carnival, completely uncovered, offers a clear view of its design enhancements ahead of its expected launch later this year. This facelifted version, which originally debuted in November 2023, has brought various improvements like design revisions, new features like improved ADAS suite and more. Key design elements include a more upright front, a wide grille with chrome accents, and vertical headlamps featuring L-shaped daytime running lights. Additionally, the bumper sports a small air intake flanked by a faux brushed aluminum skid plate, adding to the vehicle’s luxury and stylish appearance.
The L-shaped design theme continues at the rear, where the tail lamps are connected by an LED light bar. The rear bumper combines matte black plastic with faux silver trim. The side profile features a large glass area, sliding rear doors, and a decorative trim around the rear quarter glass. The new Carnival is also seen with larger, likely 18-inch, alloy wheels.Â
New Kia Carnival Facelift Powertrain –
For the Indian market, the new Kia Carnival is expected to retain the 201hp, 2.2- liter four-cylinder turbo-diesel engine paired with an automatic transmission, unlike the international versions that offers various options like a 3.5-liter petrol, 1.6-liter petrol-electric, and 2.2-liter diesel engine.
The updated Carnival is likely to launch between October and December this year, the new Carnival is expected to be priced between Rs 28 lakh and Rs 40 lakh (ex-showroom). It will arrive as a CKD unit like its predecessor and, while positioned slightly above the Toyota Innova Hycross.
