The Kia EV3, an upcoming entry-level all-electric SUV from the Korean automaker, is set to make its global debut on May 23. Kia has released teaser images showcasing the production model, revealing that it will closely follow the design of the EV3 concept unveiled last year. The EV3 features a boxy, angular design language similar to the flagship EV9, with its wheels positioned at the corners to extend the wheelbase and optimize interior space. This design approach aims to enhance passenger comfort and provide ample cargo capacity within the compact footprint of the vehicle.
The Kia EV3, which was first presented as a concept last October, matches the dimensions of the Seltos and bears a striking resemblance to its ICE counterpart. In the concept model, the interior design embraces a minimalist approach, featuring a one-piece display as the central hub of control and a set of toggle switches for managing climate control and other functions.
Kia has chosen a soothing shade of beige for the interior, a color that resonates with markets such as India. Additionally, the flat floor design enhances the spaciousness and comfort of the cabin, providing ample room for passengers and cargo alike.
Kia India has yet to provide official confirmation regarding the release of the EV3. However, the larger and more upscale EV9 three-row electric SUV is anticipated to be introduced in the country later this year. Additionally, Kia is preparing a new entry-level electric vehicle for the Indian market based on the Clavis compact SUV.
