Ahead of its upcoming launch next week, Kia India has unveiled another teaser for the highly anticipated 2023 Seltos facelift. This new teaser video builds on the initial promotional video by providing further details about the enhancements and features of the C-segment SUV. While the first video primarily focused on showcasing the front fascia and highlighting some key features, the latest teaser offers additional information, potentially shedding light on additional design elements, advanced technologies, or other improvements that can be expected from the Seltos facelift.
New Digital Instrument Cluster
In the latest teaser, Kia reveals the interior of the upcoming 2023 Seltos facelift, specifically focusing on the dashboard. The highlight of the interior is a twin-connected screen setup, consisting of a 10.25-inch infotainment screen and a 10.25-inch instrument cluster. Notably, the instrument cluster has been upgraded to a full-colour LCD unit, departing from the semi-digital layout observed in the Kia Carens. This new configuration is expected to enhance the overall visual appeal and provide a more advanced and immersive user experience inside the Seltos facelift.
Dual Zone Climate Control-
The Seltos facelift’s dashboard prominently showcases dedicated controls for adjusting the air conditioner’s temperature, indicating the inclusion of dual-zone climate control in the SUV. This feature is highly practical, especially when the driver and front passenger have varying temperature preferences. Notably, this is the first instance of dual-zone climate control being offered in this segment, and it is a welcome addition that we anticipate seeing in more SUVs in the coming times.
At present, the Seltos available in India is equipped with 1.5-litre four-cylinder petrol and diesel engines, as the 1.4-litre turbo petrol engine has been discontinued. However, it is speculated that the Seltos facelift could introduce a new 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine, possibly with a higher power output similar to the one found in the Carens. It is anticipated that this particular engine variant might be reserved exclusively for the GT trim, adding a touch of exclusivity to the lineup.
