Kia Seltos X-Line, Identical Twins Of Seltos
Kia Seltos is one of the successful machine in its segment, launched just two years ago, it’s already racked up over two lakh in sales and looks to show no signs of slowing down anytime soon. Taking this advantage, Kia launched its updated Seltos in market called X-Line. In Seltos tech line is standard trim and GT is sporty trim, but this X-Line shows the sporty with ruggedness also.
In 2020 Auto Expo Kia showcased its X-Line, but due to the pandemic company delayed it and now it starting reaching dealerships yard. In this update there are only cosmetic changes at inside and out, Kia don’t add any extra features or tech in this X-Line because it have already tons of features in it. Like that we don’t get any mechanical changes in this update it continues that 1.5 litre Diesel engine produces 113bhp of power with redlines at 4000Rpm and 250Nm of torque with redlines at 1500Rpm. This Diesel engine is paired with a 6 speed Torque Converter unit, this engine gives claimed 18 KMPL average fuel economy. This X-Line is offered in only one engine, which is a 1.5L Diesel Motor with only automatic transmission.
The standard trim and X-Line trim gets similar dimensions, only difference between this two is that 18 inch wheels in X-Line which is a 1 inch more than regular. The sidewall and wheelbase are also similar, at front we get glossy black honeycomb grill with humanity line which gets nulled finishing.
The headlight unit don’t change it continues that all led headlamps and ice cube fog lamps. Bumper gets sort of a skid plate treatment with gloss black there too and also orange strip running throughout the bumper which looks super cool in this Matte Graphite colour.
Vehicle runs on 18 inch crystal cut matte alloys with orange colour treatment. The ORVM is black coloured and door handles are finished in chrome which looks absolutely rad in this types of darker colour schemes.
That orange colour treatment are there on body cladding also, the tailgate is loaded with glossy black. We get glossy black strip joining that two taillights. Taillights are also continues with that led brake lights, rear bumper gets fake exhaust tips with glossy black there too and also that orange treatment.
Boot carrying capacity remains same to 433 litres, so major changes are on exterior which looks super cool and premium, gives very aggressive stance to Seltos. Thanks to that bigger alloys and that orange treatment to the bumpers and cladding. Inside the vehicle major things are similar only difference is that new Indigo pera leatherette seats with honey comb pattern there too.
In terms of comfort all two rows gives best knee room and headroom, in terms of features and tech it is loaded with tons of features like ventilated seats, 360 degree parking camera, 8 speakers premium Boss sound system with subwoofer and amplifier as well, electric sunroof, air purifier, automatic headlamps, heads up display, automatic wipers,
wireless charging pad, digital instrument cluster, android auto and apple car play, voice command, electric driver seat adjust, paddle shifters, cruise control and many more.
So this X-Line is only offered in single colour, which is Matte Graphite. This X-Line addition of Kia Seltos is for people who loves aggressive looking or sporty looking car. Like Tata have its dark addition, now Kia have its own X- Line addition. All this extra cosmetic trims doesn’t get the performance better but lots of new age people like this.
