Kia India has recently updated its popular SUV models, the Seltos and the Sonet, with new variants and color options. The Kia Sonet now introduces a new GTX trim positioned between the existing HTX+ and GTX+ variants, starting at an ex-showroom price of Rs. 13.71 lakh. The Sonet GTX variant boasts range of new age features and tech, these include a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system supporting Android Auto and Apple CarPlay,
along with a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, ventilated front seats, 360-degree surround camera with a blind spot monitor, a powered driver seat. The model also comes equipped with front and rear parking sensors, LED fog lamps, auto headlamps, and six airbags. Additionally, the Sonet GTX variant offers seven color choices, notably, the X-Line variant, previously available only in Matte Graphite, now also comes in Aurora Black Pearl paint.
In terms of performance, the Sonet GTX offers two engine choices. The first option is a 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. Alternatively, there’s a 1.5-litre diesel engine coupled with a six-speed automatic torque converter unit. Kia Sonet compete with Hyundai Venue, Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV3XO, Maruti Brezza.
