Mahindra launched its 3rd generation of THAR . Thar gets 13 variants across two engine options. A 2.2 L mHawk diesel and 2.0 L mStallion TGDI with 6 gears manual and automatic gearbox. Thar also gets soft top and hard top options with all variants. Coming to the exterior, it’s seems like a baby Jeep Wrangler, at front to get old school like feel we get halogen circular headlights and a knob to lock the hood .
To climb hard terrain we get 18 inch alloy wheels. All black interior makes Thar so classy because of its a off-road capable vehicle, we can wash all cabin with water. In infotainment touchscreen display there are off-road mode, in this mode all tyres angles are shown and we can analyze where the tyre is gone. In thar’s infotainment system there are smart tyre pressure monitoring system that shows all tyres pressure exactly with the spare wheel.
Well it is a body on frame platform, so there is some body roll offers in some big potholes or cruising high speed on highway. In interior we get 6 inch infotainment system with android auto and Apple car play in some variants.
Instrument cluster got 4 inch multi information display vehicle information. In back seats, there is two options, front facing seats or regular bench seats . Mahindra claims that the THAR is 4 seater SUV, but practically it is a three seater suv. In safety that got 5 star in global NCAP we get 2 airbags, ABS with ESP , Hill hold control with traction control .
Well it is a THAR , so there is a 4X4 configurations available in all variants. There is a gear like throttle to adjust the differential lock, so this rigid suv’s price starts from 10 lakhs (ORP) to 14 lakhs (ORP) .
