Mahindra is giving the XUV 300 a major overhaul with the introduction of the XUV 3XO, set to debut in India on April 29, 2024. In anticipation of the launch, the carmaker has shared teasers revealing design elements and features of the new model. One standout feature is the dual-pane panoramic sunroof, a first for the segment. Additionally, the Mahindra XUV 3XO will come equipped with a modern infotainment system featuring wireless smartphone connectivity, remote AC control via smartphone, and a digital instrument cluster. The redesigned dashboard bears a resemblance to that of the XUV 400, adding a touch of familiarity.
Moreover, the XUV 3XO is expected to offer a range of advanced features including dual-zone climate control, a powered driver seat, ventilated front seats, ambient lighting, a 360-degree surround camera, lane watch camera, and a wireless charger. These enhancements promise to elevate the driving experience and appeal to a wide range of consumers.
Mechanically, the Mahindra XUV 3XO is expected to retain its existing powertrain choices, which include a 1.2-liter naturally aspirated petrol engine, a 1.2-liter turbo petrol engine, and a 1.5-liter diesel engine. The available transmission options will continue to be a six-speed manual or a six-speed AMT gearbox, offering drivers flexibility and choice.
Once launched, the Mahindra XUV 3XO will maintain its competitive stance against key rivals in the segment such as the Tata Nexon, Maruti Brezza, Kia Sonet, Hyundai Venue, Nissan Magnite, and Renault Kiger. Its blend of modern features and varied powertrain options is likely to appeal to a wide range of customers looking for a versatile and stylish SUV.
