The fourth-generation Suzuki Swift has recently undergone Euro NCAP’s crash tests, achieving a 3-star rating. Maruti Swift received 67 percent for adult occupant protection, 65 percent for child occupant protection, 62 percent for safety assist systems, and 76 percent for vulnerable road users. In Europe, the Swift is equipped with six airbags, ISOFIX anchors, seat belt reminders, and advanced driver assistance systems like autonomous emergency braking, lane change assist, and driver fatigue detection.
Maruti Swift Adult Safety Test Score –
Euro NCAP observed that the passenger compartment of the fourth-gen Suzuki Swift remained stable during the frontal offset test, providing good protection for the knees and femurs of both the driver and front passenger. However, the protection for the driver’s chest was rated as weak, while the passenger’s chest protection was considered marginal. In the crash tests, the Swift earned 10.5 out of 16 points in the frontal impact test, 11.5 out of 16 points in the lateral impact test, and a full 4 out of 4 points in the rear impact test.
Maruti Swift Children Safety Test Score –
The fourth-gen Suzuki Swift scored 14.1 out of 24 points for protecting 6-year-old and 10-year-old children. It earned 6 out of 13 points for safety features and a perfect 12 out of 12 for child restraint systems. In frontal offset and side barrier tests, the Swift’s protection for the neck and chest areas of child occupants ranged from poor to weak, while head protection was deemed adequate.
