In India, Mercedes-Benz has introduced the new AMG S63 E Performance, the most powerful version of the S-Class, priced at Rs 3.30 crore (ex-showroom). The AMG S 63 features distinctive AMG styling enhancements over the standard S-Class. These updates include the Panamericana grille with a centrally mounted Mercedes logo, marking its debut on an S-Class. The car also sports a more aggressive front bumper with large air intakes on the sides, a pronounced chin, and an AMG-specific rear diffuser with quad exhaust pipes.

Inside, the AMG S 63 E Performance features a new four-spoke AMG steering wheel and AMG-specific pedals. The most significant upgrade is the latest MBUX software, which now includes AMG and hybrid-specific displays and functions, featuring an exclusive “Super Sport” theme. Dominating the dashboard is a 12.8-inch OLED touchscreen with a waterfall effect, just like the regular S-Class. Additionally, the car comes equipped with 4-zone climate control, a Burmester 3D surround sound system, 64-colour ambient lighting, and Level 2 ADAS for enhanced safety and convenience.
Mercedes AMG S63 E Performance Powertrain –
Under the hood, the AMG S 63 E Performance features a AMG’s 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine, paired with a 13.1kWh battery and an electric motor mounted on the rear axle. This motor generates 190hp and 320Nm on its own, while the combined system output reaches an impressive 802hp and 1,430Nm. Power is transmitted through a 9-speed automatic gearbox to all four wheels via the 4Matic system. The gearbox also has a ‘Race Start’ function, allowing the car to sprint from 0 to 100kph in just 3.3 seconds. The S 63 offers eight drive modes, including an all-electric mode with a range of up to 33km and a speed cap of 125kph.
Mercedes AMG S63 E Performance F1 Edition –
Mercedes is also introducing an exclusive S63 E Performance Edition 1 variant, priced at Rs 3.80 crore, which will be available in very limited numbers. This Edition 1 commands a Rs 50 lakh premium and features a special Manufaktur Alpine Grey exterior paint, unique matte black 21-inch forged AMG wheels, and red brake calipers. Additionally, the Edition 1 comes standard with the AMG Night package, enhancing its distinctive and luxurious appearance.
