Mercedes-Benz Is Set To Introduce Two New AMG Models In India By The Year 2025

In addition to expanding its AMG lineup, Mercedes Benz is set to introduce the AMG S 63 e-performance and AMG C 63 e-Performance F1 Edition in India as part of its Q2 launches for FY 25.



AMG S63 e-Performance –

With a focus on bolstering its lineup of premium vehicles, Mercedes is gearing up to introduce the AMG S 63 e-performance, a high-performance variant of its esteemed S-Class sedan. Notable exterior features include the distinctive AMG-specific grille, striking 20-inch alloy wheels, and sleek trapezoidal tailpipes at the rear. Inside the cabin, drivers can expect the luxurious appointments synonymous with the new-generation S-Class, enhanced with signature AMG touches for a heightened sense of performance. This includes premium AMG-embossed upholstery and dynamic AMG graphics adorning the digital instrument cluster.

Powertrain –

Central to the Mercedes Benz AMG S 63 e-performance experience is its robust 4.0-litre V8 hybrid engine, generating an impressive output of 791bhp/1430Nm and offering nine distinct driving modes to suit various preferences and conditions. Paired with a nine-speed AMG speedshift DCT transmission, this powertrain combines with an electric motor and a 13.1kWH battery, delivering an electric range of 33km. Additionally, Mercedes-Benz’s renowned 4 Matic system ensures power is efficiently distributed to all wheels, enabling the vehicle to accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in a swift 3.5 seconds.

AMG C 63 e-Performance F1 Edition

Moving down the lineup from the AMG S 63 e-performance, we find the AMG C 63 e-Performance F1 Edition, positioned as a slightly more accessible option. Despite being based on the latest-generation C-Class, this model will have unique design elements, including a matte paint finish, distinctive AMG grille, and F1-inspired branding. Inside, the cabin features premium black Nappa leather upholstery adorned with AMG logos, along with F1 insignia showcased on the floor mats and exterior surfaces.

Powertrain –

Under the hood, the Mercedes Benz AMG C 63 e-Performance F1 Edition is propelled by a hybrid 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol engine, delivering impressive performance figures of 671bhp/1020Nm. With a top speed of 280kmph and a rapid 0-100 time of just 3.3 seconds, this model promises exhilarating driving dynamics. Additionally, 2024 marks a significant milestone as it commemorates the 10th anniversary of the C63’s introduction to the Indian market, solidifying its status as one of the longest-standing AMG offerings in the country since Mercedes’ foray into the Indian AMG segment in late 2010.
