Mercedes Benz S class, comfort oriented luxurious sedan
The new 7th generation of s-class is launched in India, this launched edition exports outside from India, locally assembled s-class comes later in years.
In S-class we get two variants- S 400d 4MATIC, S 450 4MATIC. In this two variants we get two engine options, 1) 2925 cc 6 cylinder inline diesel engine that produces 326 bhp of power and raves still @3600rpm with 500nm of torque and raves still @1200rpm.
2) 2999 cc 6 cylinder inline petrol engine that produces 362 bhp of power and raves still @5500rpm with 500nm of torque and raves still @1600rpm. Today we are reviewing the 400d 4MATIC variant , all engines comes with torque converter gearbox and all wheel drive.
Length, width and height are following respectively- 5289mm, 2109mm, 1503mm. This S-class runs on 20 inch alloy wheels with ample amount
of ground clearance. At front we get glossy black brill with front parking camera and parking sensors, that chrome Mercedes Benz logo
on hood attracts you. The best attraction at front is that Mercedes Benz digital led projector headlamps that illuminates lights upto 650m.
That concealed door handles improves aerodynamic efficiency, on orvm we get camera and projector which projects Mercedes logo
at night . At rear we obviously get led taillights, taillights gets dynamic swipe indicators and led brake lights, there are also diffuser and a chrome fake exhaust . The big Mercedes Benz chrome logo looks elegant , below the logo we get parking camera and parking sensors, this S class comes with 500 litres
of boot space and a space saver steel spare wheel . In inside this sedan we get dual tone interior with nappa leather in all cabin and
two electric sunroof, on the dashboard we get piano black finish with front four AC vents, Below the AC vents we get 12.5 inch touchscreen OLED infotainment system which is customizable,
in this infotainment we get radio, media, navigation, cameras, AC controls, driving modes, ambient lighting, vehicle data, instrument cluster settings and fingerprints and face recognition also. Mercedes is actually removed 27 hard buttons in it, and now it gets all touch sensible controls in it,
this screen comes with 320gb solid state drive and 16 gb of ram. In the centre console we get cup holders and ash tray with some USB’s and one wireless charging pad. Below the front centre armrest there is ample amount of space and two USB’s .
The steering wheel gets 6 stocks and gets volume controls, cruise control, paddle shifters, heating function and electrically adjustable function also. That switches controls that digital instrument cluster,
in this instrument cluster we get vehicle data, TPMS and also we get themes in it. At rear we get two multicontour seats with a centre armrest, that two seats gets electrically adjustable
at multiple ways and also ventilated function, we can adjust the under thighs support, legroom and knee room with the touch of finger.
At rear we get electrically adjustable rear sun blind, separate air conditioning control, two touchscreen infotainment screens,
rear windscreen sun blind, memory seats function and lot more. Below the rear centre armrest we get wireless charging pad,
some USB’s, one pillow and a android tablet which can control all the system. This luxurious sedan gets really tons of features and some advanced tech like,
1350 watts 31 speakers Bermester sound system which integrated in the rear seats to feel 4D experience, automatic wipers and automatic
headlamps, dual electric sunroof, Mercedes Benz digital headlights, rear infotainment screens with tablet, wireless charging pad on front and rear,
fingerprint scanner for front infotainment screen, electrically adjustable rear seats, neck and shoulders heating function at rear,

This is a new generation Mercedes so we definitely get connected service, in s-class we get Mercedes-me which is connected
service by Mercedes, in this connected system we get vehicle monitoring, navigation, Mercedes Benz emergency call system, windows and sunroof opening through mobile,
geo fencing, vehicle finder, voice commands, parking lots locater which finds parking lots in the city, Alexa and google home integration also. This s-class gets best safety
in the world like 8 airbags, TPMS, ABS with EBD, brake assist, ESP, hill hold control, traction control, ride height adjustment, keyless entry, speed sensing auto door lock, isofix child seat anchor point. Apart from this it’s gets 360 degree parking camera with front and
rear parking sensors, 5 radar with 12 ultrasonic sensors, rear axle steering which retracts 4.5 degrees, driving assistance, active distance assistance, active lane keeping assist,
active parking assistance with parktronic, rear seats airbags, pedestrians protection with active bonnet and more.

This luxury sedan costs from 2.17 crore to 2.19 crore (ex-showroom), at this price point s-class rival BMW 7 series, Mercedes Benz Maybach GLS, Audi A8 L, Land Rover sports, Mercedes Benz G-class, Audi RS Q8, Lexus LS.
But at this extremely high price Mercedes Benz gives us some really value for money features, the conclusion is this S-class is small house on wheels.
