Meanwhile, BMW is also gearing up to launch the new generation 5 Series LWB in India on the same day.
MINI Cooper S Highlights –
The new Cooper S retains Mini’s classic design elements, featuring circular headlights, a larger octagonal front grille, and distinctive triangular tail-lamps. Inside, it maintains its retro-cool vibe with the standout feature being a unique 9.4-inch circular OLED infotainment screen, developed in collaboration with Samsung. Furthermore, the new Cooper S is powered by the familiar 2.0-litre, four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine, which now produces 204hp and 300Nm of torque, marking an increase of 26hp and 20Nm over its predecessor.
MINI Cooper Countryman Electric Highlights –
The upcoming Mini Cooper Countryman Electric is set to enter the competitive arena against the BMW iX1, featuring larger dimensions compared to its predecessors. Its design updates align closely with those seen on the new Cooper S, and the interior shares many similarities between both models.
Equipped with a 66.45kWh battery, the Countryman Electric offers claimed ranges of 462km for the single-motor version and 433km for the dual-motor version. Internationally, Mini provides two powertrain options: a single-motor, front-wheel-drive variant generating 204hp and 250Nm of torque, and a dual-motor, all-wheel-drive variant producing 313hp and 494Nm of torque.
