Off-Road Tech In Defender Octa –
To demonstrate its durability and versatility, engineers subjected the Octa to 13,960 tests and covered over 10 lakh kilometers in diverse and challenging conditions worldwide. These included navigating sand dunes in Dubai, maneuvering through snow and ice circuits in Sweden, testing on the track at the NĆ¼rburgring, and enduring the rigorous terrain of the Dakar Rally grounds in southern France.
Well, the car looks pretty much similar to the regular Defender, but the automaker has made lots of mechanical changes in this suv which will help the Defender Octa to perform better on offroad tracks. The updated defender now gets new set of front and rear bumpers which helps it to increase its maximum approach angle and departure angle. New front bumper increases Defenderās approach angle to 40 degrees and departure angle to 42 degrees. The breakover angle is increased to 29 degrees and ride height is now 319 mm which is hiked by 28mm. The articulation is impressive 569 mm, which is best in class. One more important update is Defenderās wheels, now the suv runs on special bespoke off-road tyre with 20 inch rims.
This tyres were made with advanced all terrain rubber and developed by Goodyear. Due to its all terrain capability, top speed is limited to 160kph. Furthermore, Defender Octa comes equipped with 6D dynamic suspension system which keep the cabin stable while doing off-roading. More off-road features are underbody protection, driving modes, new Octa driving mode, off-road launch mode, special 20 inch all terrain tyres and more. All this things defines that Land Rover Defender Octa is powerful, fully capable hardcore off-roader.

New Defender Octa has a refreshed front grill design and diamond shape Octa badge on its C-pillar which differentiates this Octa model from regular one. Moreover, the Defender Octa will introduce special colors such as Petra Copper, Faroe Green, Carpathian Grey, and Charente Grey. Inside, the Defender Octa boasts new performance seats with a 3D-knit texture, integrated headrests, and a seamless finish, which will soon be available in other JLR vehicles. Additionally, it features a top-tier 11.4-inch infotainment screen, a center-console fridge, and luxurious Burnt Sienna semi-aniline leather as standard.
