MG India is gearing up to launch the refreshed Astor in the country, and recent leaks have provided a comprehensive look at the SUV’s exterior and interior updates. From the leaked images, it’s evident that the MG Astor facelift will introduce a fresh color scheme and several design enhancements. Notable changes include sleeker LED headlamps equipped with daytime running lights (DRLs), a redesigned grille featuring a quilted diamond pattern, and a more aggressive bumper with prominent air dams. Additionally, the front camera and a blue accent on the nose indicate the hybrid nature of the vehicle.
MG Astor Facelift Design Updates –
Moving on to the sides, the profile of the Astor facelift remains largely unchanged, featuring blacked-out pillars, roof, and ORVMs. However, there are some updates, including a silver accent on the skid plate and silver-finished roof rails. Additionally, the redesigned alloy wheels with a dual-tone finish enhance the SUV’s overall aesthetics. Shifting focus to the rear, while the changes are minimal, they still contribute to the refreshed look of the vehicle. Notable updates include redesigned LED taillamps, silver garnish on the bumper, a rear wiper with washer, an extended roof spoiler with a high-mounted stop lamp, and a sleek shark fin antenna.
MG Astor Facelift Interior Changes –
Based on the spy images of the interior, it’s evident that the new MG Astor facelift will sport an all-black theme, offering a sleek and modern look. The revised dashboard features a twin-display setup for both the infotainment system and the instrument cluster, providing easy access to essential information while driving. Additionally, the steering wheel is equipped with controls for added convenience. One of the significant changes inside the cabin is the updated centre console, which now houses a smaller gear selector lever along with an electronic parking brake and a wireless charger, catering to the needs of modern drivers.
MG Astor Facelift Powertrain –
While there is limited information available about the powertrain options for the updated Astor, it’s expected to retain the same engine choices as its predecessor, possibly enhanced with hybrid technology to deliver better fuel efficiency and performance. This strategic move aims to appeal to consumers seeking a balance between power and efficiency in their SUV.
MG Astor Facelift Rivals –
Upon its release, the MG Astor facelift will continue to compete fiercely in the mid-size SUV segment, going head-to-head with popular models such as the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, and the Honda Elevate, offering customers a wide range of options to choose from in this competitive market.
