Nissan has unveiled the fourth-generation X-Trail for India, set to launch soon. This SUV will be imported as a Completely Built Unit. Nissan X-Trail is FWD suv featuring tall appearance, new age features and single petrol engine. With the introduction of the X-Trail, Nissan India’s product range will expand, right now Magnite is the only car in Nissan’s garage for India.
X-Trail Powertrain –
Under the hood, the fourth-generation Nissan X-Trail features a 1.5-liter turbo petrol engine. This three-cylinder unit is paired with a CVT gearbox and delivers 163hp and 300Nm of torque. Thanks to its variable compression ratio and 12V mild-hybrid system, the X-Trail offers a balanced mix of power and efficiency.
Nissan X-Trail Highlights –
The 2024 Nissan X-Trail measures 4.68 meters in length, 1.84 meters in width, and 1.72 meters in height. With a wheelbase of 2,705 mm and a ground clearance of 210 mm, it stands tall and robust. Built on the CMF-C platform, the X-Trail comes in a three-row version. Its design closely mirrors the global version, featuring a V-shaped grille with a prominent Nissan logo, split headlamps, and a stylish front chrome grille. On the sides, you’ll notice 20-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, large windows, and electrically adjustable ORVMs with integrated cameras. The rear profile is accentuated by wraparound LED taillights, a shark fin antenna, a silver-finished bumper, and a wiper washer. Nissan has also introduced new color options for the X-Trail: Diamond Black, Champagne Silver, and Pearl White.
Nissan X-Trail Interior –
The all-new X-Trail comes loaded with features like dual-zone climate control, a wireless charger, a panoramic sunroof, an 8-inch infotainment system, and a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster. It also includes keyless entry, an electronic parking brake, driving modes, cruise control, push-button start, and a 360-degree parking camera. With its three-row layout, the second row can be folded in a 40-20-40 ratio and includes sliding and reclining functions. For safety, the X-Trail is well-equipped with 7 airbags, ABS with EBD, traction control, a 360-degree camera with parking sensors, hill hold assist, and a limited-slip differential lock.
Nissan X-Trail India Launch and Prices –
The new X-Trail SUV will be imported as a CBU after its launch, positioning it against strong competitors like the Hyundai Tucson, Jeep Compass, MG Gloster, Jeep Meridian, Toyota Fortuner, Citroen C5 Aircross, and Skoda Kodiaq. Expected to be priced between 38 to 42 lakhs, the X-Trail might be on the pricier side. Given that its rivals offer more features and AWD options, the X-Trail will face tough competition in the market.
