Nissan India has officially begun accepting bookings for its all new SUV, the X-Trail. Customers can book the Nissan X-Trail with a token amount of Rs. 1 lakh. The X-Trail will be available in a single variant and three color options, with prices set to be announced on August 1, 2024. As a CBU, the Nissan X-Trail is expected to be priced between Rs. 29 lakh and Rs. 35 lakh (ex-showroom). Upon its launch, it will compete with models like the Toyota Fortuner, Jeep Meridian, MG Gloster, Hyundai Tucson, Mahindra XUV700, and Tata Safari.
Nissan X-Trail Powertrain –
Under the hood, the fourth-generation Nissan X-Trail features a 1.5-liter turbo petrol engine. This three-cylinder unit is paired with a CVT gearbox, delivering 163hp and 300Nm of torque. Thanks to its variable compression ratio and 12V mild-hybrid system, the X-Trail offers a balanced mix of power and efficiency. Moreover, this combination ensures smooth performance while maintaining good fuel economy.
X-Trail Design Highlights –
The Nissan X-Trail, built on the CMF-C platform, is a three-row SUV that closely resembles its global counterpart. It features a V-shaped grille with a prominent Nissan logo, split headlamps, and a stylish front chrome grille. Additionally, it boasts 20-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, large windows, and electrically adjustable ORVMs with integrated cameras. The rear is highlighted by wraparound LED taillights, a shark fin antenna, a silver-finished bumper, and a wiper washer. Moreover, Nissan has introduced new color options for the X-Trail, including Diamond Black, Champagne Silver, and Pearl White.
X-Trail Interior Highlights –
The all-new X-Trail is packed with features such as dual-zone climate control, a wireless charger, a panoramic sunroof, an 8-inch infotainment system, and a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster. It also includes keyless entry, an electronic parking brake, driving modes, cruise control, push-button start, and a 360-degree parking camera. The three-row layout allows the second row to be folded in a 40-20-40 ratio with sliding and reclining functions. For safety, the X-Trail comes with 7 airbags, ABS with EBD, traction control, a 360-degree camera with parking sensors, hill hold assist, and a limited-slip differential lock.
