The Skoda-VW India Group has reached an impressive milestone, producing over 1.5 million units at its Chakan plant in Pune since 2009. At present, the Skoda and Volkswagen brands are manufacturing the Skoda Kushaq, Skoda Slavia, Volkswagen Virtus, and Volkswagen Taigun at the Pune plant.
This facility has been responsible for manufacturing various models, including the Volkswagen Polo, Skoda Fabia, Skoda Rapid, and Volkswagen Vento, as well as all the latest models built on the MQB platform. These MQB-AO-IN models have significantly contributed, with over 300,000 units adding to the cumulative production milestone. Additionally, the Chakan facility has produced more than 380,000 engines to date.
