Tata Motors has introduced the Curvv EV to the Indian market with a starting price of Rs. 17.49 lakh (ex-showroom). The top-spec long-range version of Tata Curvv EV is priced at Rs. 21.99 lakh, and bookings will begin on 12 August 2024. Moreover, the Curvv EV is built on the acti.ev platform, which underpins its advanced electric capabilities. The new generation of battery packs is designed to support ultra-fast charging, allowing for a significant boost in driving range. With DC charging, the Curvv EV can add 150km of range in just 15 minutes.
Tata Curvv.ev Design –
The Curvv EV showcases a distinct electric vehicle design language. At the front, it features an infinity running LED DRL along with LED headlights. The charging port is conveniently placed just below the Tata logo. The specially designed wheels enhance aerodynamics and are lighter compared to those on ICE cars. The Curvv EV also sports a sloping roofline with infinity running LED brake lights. Its design largely resembles with the ICE Curvv, with key differences like the charging port and aerodynamic wheels.
Tata Curvv.ev Features and Tech –
Inside, the Curvv EV has an interior similar to other Tata EV models. It features a large floating touchscreen infotainment screen and a fully digital instrument cluster. The steering wheel is adorned with an illuminated Tata logo and mounted controls. Additionally, the car comes packed with modern technology such as a 360-degree parking camera, front ventilated seats, climate control, wireless charging, a panoramic sunroof, a powered tailgate, an electronic parking brake, and an electrically adjustable driver seat. For safety, it includes six airbags, ESP, auto-hold, all-disc brakes, and Level 2 ADAS.
Tata Curvv.ev Battery Pack –
Furthermore, the Curvv EV is available in both standard and long-range variants. The standard version has a 45kWh battery pack with a range of 502km (ARAI). In contrast, the higher variants are equipped with a larger 55kWh battery pack, offering an ARAI-claimed range of 585km.
