The Toyota Taisor, based on the Maruti Suzuki Fronx, has been teased on Toyota India’s official website, signaling its imminent debut in the Indian market on April 3, 2024. Following its unveiling, pricing details are expected to be announced in the subsequent months. In the teaser image, the Taisor is showcased in a vibrant red color, featuring updated LED daytime running lights and a refreshed grille. To differentiate itself from its Maruti counterpart, the Taisor will sport modified front and rear bumpers, reshaped LED headlights, revamped taillights, and a fresh set of alloy wheels with a similar profile.

When it comes to its features, the Taisor is expected to match the Fronx in terms of equipment, boasting a comprehensive list of amenities. This includes a sizable infotainment screen with wireless connectivity for smartphones, a digital instrument cluster, a 360-degree surround camera system, a head-up display, automatic climate control, a wireless charging pad, and ambient lighting. Additionally, subtle changes may be seen in the cabin, such as a new theme and different upholstery compared to the Maruti Fronx.

Regarding its mechanical aspects, the Taisor is anticipated to retain the same powertrain as the Fronx. However, it is speculated that the Taisor will be exclusively offered with the naturally aspirated petrol engine, possibly alongside a CNG option. Upon its arrival, the Toyota Taisor will compete with models such as the Maruti Fronx, Mahindra XUV300, Kia Sonet, Nissan Magnite, Kia Kiger, Mahindra XUV300, and Hyundai Venue in the segment.
