In this massive Indian automobile industry lots of people are buying entry level hatchback, correcting that Hyundai recently launched its third generation of I20. But now the customers expectation changed and these days lots of new age customers finding a aggressive, fast, quirky design vehicle, to make its demand complete, now Hyundai launched its I20 N-Line for its younger buyers.

This N stands for Namyang district which is placed in South Korea, the birthplace of the N brand and location of Hyundai’s Global R&D Center, Hyundai claimed that this N line gets 27 changes compared to regular model. We already reviewed the Hyundai i20, you can see it by clicking here.

This I20 N-Line offers in 6 variants, In this 27 changes most of are cosmetic, the only major mechanical change is that chrome finished twin exhaust. Engine unit continues that 1.0 litre TGDI petrol motor produces 118 bhp of power with redlines at 6000RPM and 172NM of torque with redlines at 1500RPM.

Results is now the I20 N-line is fastest hatchback in its segment, Hyundai claimed that I20 N-line goes 0 to 100 in only 9.99 seconds. Which is hard to believe but yes I20 N-line is fastest in its rivals, in this N badge performance don’t change dramatically but yes it grows in ride and handling.

This 1.0 litre offers in 6 speed IMT ( intelligent manual transmission ) and 7 speed DCT transmission options. In regular I20 we get wide range of transmission options but we thought this N-Line missed proper manual transmission. Although to get more fun we get paddle shifters in automatic trim, we are reviewing the N8 trim with 6 speed IMT gearbox.

It’s length, width and height is same as the regular I20 , it’s ground clearance is 170mm which is ample and runs on 16 inch alloys. Starting from the front we get glossy black finished checkered flag grill with N-line badging too,

headlamp unit continues with that projector setup with led DRL and chrome finished fog lamps. Now the bumper is revised and gets some red colour treatment there, to get sporty appeal.

The vehicle runs on 16 inch N wheels, which is also changed and comes with front and rear disc brakes. The ORVM is finished in gloss black and equipped with welcome function in this N-Line.

The side body cladding also gets red treatment with gloss black there too, so lots of piano black finish on body. The tailgate of the vehicle shows lots of sporty elements like roof spoiler with side wings,

a dark chrome garnish running the width of the boot door and the biggest attention to detail is that chrome finished dual exhaust tips.

The taillights is comes from regular I20 with that boomerang effect, bumper gets two parking sensors with reverse parking camera. Under its boot we gets 311 litres of space which is decent enough, but it can be easily increased by reclining the second row.

The I20 is already a good looking car in its rival which this N-Line makes it more bold and aggressive, we have to see lots of N-Line badges lying on the exterior of the vehicle. Lots of cuts and crises, excessive use of piano black

and sporty red treatment makes the I20 N-Line very distinct and sharper in its segment. Inside this hatchback we get all black interior with lots of red accents to equivalent to the exterior. The dashboard looks very clean and sharp with that infinity AC vents treatment,

the infotainment unit doesn’t change we gets 10 inch touchscreen system with android auto and apple car play. This infotainment system gets radio, media, navigation, vehicle settings ,

driving data, reverse parking camera and also that Blue link which is a connected car service by Hyundai. So this Blue link gets voice command, remote door lock and unlock, remote engine start stop, navigation, geo fencing, speed alert, engine data, service information and 57 other features.

Below this screen we gets two AC vents with wireless charging pad and two USB’s. Gear liver is wrapped in leather with red inserts there too. The centre armrest comes with decent amount of space with sliding function, all over the cabin gets lots of storage space.

The steering wheel is now new and gets mounted controls, paddle shifters and N badging there too, that mounted switches operate that 10 inch digital instrument cluster which is also coming from regular I20.

So the interior gets lots of sporty treatment like red stitching on seats and gear liver, sporty metal finished pedals, red ambient lighting, red finishing on AC vents, checkered flag treatment on all seats and more.

The front seats is very comfortable and got good amount of legroom and knee room, like that second row is quite comfy and also got good recline angle. Three people bit feels uncomfortable, thanks to the hump and rear AC vents unit. But for two passengers Hyundai gives us two adjustable headrest,

two AC vents and more. Overall cabin feels airy and roomy, thanks to the sunroof and large windows. In this Segment Hyundai I20 N-Line is highest feature loaded car, it gets Bose 7 speakers system with subwoofer, ambient lighting,

wireless charging pad with cooling function, paddle shifters, cruise control, 10.25 inch digital instrument cluster, electric sunroof, metal finished paddles, puddle lamps, automatic headlamps,

automatic climate control, engine start stop button, cooled glove box, electromagnetic tailgate opener, height adjustable driver seat, auto dimming irvm, voice command and lots of more.

Like this in safety it gets 6 airbags, ABS and EBD, electronic stability program, hill hold control, TPMS, isofix child seat anchor point, seat belt warning, reverse parking camera and parking sensors, all wheel disc brakes,

auto dimming irvm, height adjustable seatbelt and more. From alll this we know that this I20 N-Line is featured and tech loaded car, making quick comparison between I20 and I20 N-line, this N-Line gets some additional features like red ambient lighting,
